Bribing entrepreneurs to be scientists

We admit it, we are running an unconventional fund. We are bribing entrepreneurs to think differently about their startups. We expect entrepreneurs to run experiments and we are doing the same on our community. So far, we sleep well. We have written checks to people who are otherwise unfundable (that is not an opinion - it is a fact). 9/10 people are happy with what we do, but since we do offer funding to the unfundable - and since we do run experiments - sometimes people get mad at us. We are trying to be more and more transparent about what we are doing and why we are doing it, we are taking steps to make sure that those in truly vulnerable situations are not relying on us, and we are trying to make it absolutely clear that there ARE PLENTY OF CATCHES to our free money.

We have been better recently (we were never intentionally bad, we just assumed certain things were clear, which is why we tested on a small number of people) about offering clarity on HOW you can spend our money... but we need to update our terms and add clarity on how you get money from us in the first place. Thanks. 

1. There are only two programs we offer right now that give GUARANTEED FUNDING. One is if you write a medium post (full rules here) about an experiment you ran. 
2. The second one is doing 100 interviews in 50 days. 

IN ORDER TO GET ANY FUNDING FROM US ALL OF THE FOLLOWING MUST BE TRUE (GOING FORWARD) 

1. you must have a confirmed email address at the top of our funnel
2. you must have completed a session with our friendly mentor robot
3. you must be BRAND NEW to our community and have never accepted funding from us before... (if you are an EXISTING MEMBER of our community - someone who has done both steps above you are more than welcome to engage in the challenges we offer - but we decide the terms -- the crazy, guaranteed, open to anyone, no questions asked terms apply ONCE PER PERSON, ONCE PER TEAM... 
4. you must agree to be reasonable - think of what we are trying to accomplish - we are not just handing out grants - we are a community focused on problem solving, scaling mentor capacity for those who find it hard to get mentors, and TEACHING... money is a means to an end but there are lessons along the way. Watch the movie Karate Kid. We are teaching you Karate, but you have to sand the floor for a month before) 
5. you must write about your hypothesis publicly 
6. you must be able to accept paypal yourself (we are working on a bitcoin solution)

This extrinsic motivation (we are aware of the research that intrinsic motivation is way more effective in most cases, we are also aware of how funding is a metric coveted by most entrepeneurs - we are trying to fix that - with this... sounds like a catch 22)
